In the days when men would shave with a ceramic wash bowl, a badger brush and a mug of shaving cream, a shaving stand (like the one here) was a common bedroom fixture.  This Edwardian English walnut shaving stand has a bevelled oval mirror (encircled with a double track of inlay), a footed, stepped chevron base, and an aged brass gallery.  A "cufflink divot" is a handy place to leave pocket items.  And hardware on the back allows the mirror to be tilted to suit.   (27" x 18" x 9.5")   mr12849g
