Owners Beam Suntory are releasing older bottlings of this 'classic peated Highlander' and now the indies are following suit. Savvy collectors will note that this was distilled during the period when the stills were coal-fed. That ended in 2001. 

This 21 year old G&M bottling comes matured in a single refill sherry hogshead (No.1695) and promises notes of sweet sherry, almonds, stewed forest fruits and festive spices rounded off by cured meats and bonfire embers. You'll also get terrific intensity of flavour at 57.1% ABV and non chill filtered.
